Lil' Wayne Suing Quincy Jones

For The Use Of His Music In A Documentary

Lil' Wayne has filed a lawsuit against Quincy Jones III for violating copyright by using his music in the 2009 documentary 'Tha Carter'.

According to TMZ, Quincy used the songs 'Lollipop', 'Let the Beat Build', 'A Mill' and 'Dontgetit' from Wayne's platinum album 'Tha Carter III' without permission. He claims that Jones and QD3 producers ask for approval in using the tracks.

Wayne initially was on board with the documentary, allowing the cameras to follow him around. But he then sued the film for its "scandalous portrayal" of him and was later countersued.

The Young Money head honcho is suing for unspecified damages and an order prohibiting producers from using his music.
