Kristen Stewart Apologises For Affair With Director
The Twilight Actress Is ‘Deeply Sorry’ For Cheating On Robert Pattinson
Twilight star Kristen Stewart has admitted to cheating on her co-star boyfriend Robert Pattinson with a Hollywood film director.
Much to her horror, the 22 year-old was papped last week kissing 41 year-old director Rupert Saunders – a Hollywood filmmaker she has worked with recently on ‘Snow White and the Huntsman’.
Unable to evade the evidence, the young actress admitted to cheating on Robert Pattinson – her co-star boyfriend who she has been in a relationship with since the pair met on the set of the first Twilight film.
In a statement Stewart described how she is ‘deeply sorry for the hurt and embarrassment’ she has caused ‘to those close to me and everyone that this has affected’. Desperate to communicate that her kiss with the director was a one-off occasion, she labelled the event a ‘momentary indiscretion’. The actress communicated her regret by stating that this ‘has jeopardised the most important thing in my life, the person I love and respect the most, Rob. I love him, I love him, I’m sorry’.
Equally as apologetic, sheepish Saunders – a married man with two kids – released a statement yesterday. The director stated how he is ‘utterly distraught about the pain I have caused my family’, before going on to despair that ‘my beautiful wife and heavenly children are all I have in this world. I love them with all my heart. I am praying that we can get through this together’.
Since the apology, signs of trouble have appeared for Saunders. The director's wife Liberty Ross tweeted 'Wow', before retweeting a Marilyn Monroe quote: 'Sometimes good things fall apart so good things can fall together'. Soon afterwards she deactivated her Twitter account.
There is no word on how the affair will affect the ‘Snow White’ movie sequel, and Robert Pattinson’s people are yet to issue a response to the drama.
