Example has revealed his new album will contain "lots of metal and grunge riffs".

The 29 year-old rapper who is currently working on the follow up to third album 'Playing In The Shadows', announced the new details via his official twitter page.

He wrote, "Productive day in the studio today..I've got a short list of three songs for the next single. Will be out in June I reckon."

Adding, "Recording electric guitars all day tmrw for 5 new songs. Lots of metal/grunge riffs on the next album."

Last December Example had hinted at a new sound, suggesting it would be a mix between The Strokes, Skrillex and Chase and Status. He had also revealed that he wanted to move away from writing lyrics about "gangstas and hoes", saying "that's not what every young boy wants to hear in music."
