Nick Jonas has announced that he has split from Australian actress Delta Goodrem.

In a joint statement released through her management company, the couple said: "Nick and Delta have decided mutually to end their relationship. At this point in time, they are both focused on their careers as they go on different paths."

"They remain friends and wish each other the best for the future."

Nick met Delta when he was 19 and she 27 while working on a theatre production last May - Delta had just called off her engagement with former Westlife singer, Brian McFadden after dating seven years.

The pair had even recently introduced each other to their parents but have now called it quits.

Nick has famously dated Miley Cyrus and Selena Gomez in the past.
