LIVE: Nina Nesbitt @ Dingwalls, Camden
A Rising Star
Nina Nesbitt took to the stage to play to a sold-out crowd last night at Dingwalls, London.
Throughout her 45-minute set, the 18 year-old singer/songwriter from Edinburgh captivated the audience with only the help of her guitar and her pedals.
Josh Kumra provided support for the evening and wowed the crow with his soulful voice.
This was only Nina's third London headline show, and she tells the audience before she begins: "This is the biggest headline gig I’ve ever played.”
If she had any nerves she certainly never let them show, as she breezes through singles 'Boy' and 'The Apple Tree'. Having supported both Ed Sheeran and Example though, she's likely to have braved bigger crowds before.
Most of Nina's set was made up of new material, giving fans the chance to enjoy never-before-heard tracks. This didn't stop the audience singing along though, and Nina even let some join her on stage at the end.
Josh Kumra came back on stage at one point to provide backing vocals for 'Jessica' (the B-side for 'Boy') before Nina showed off her piano skills for 'Hold You', a future sure-fire hit.
At the end of her set, is clear to see why there is such a buzz surrounding Nina Nesbitt. 2013 is set to be her year - and we can't wait.
