LIVE: Ellie Goulding @ Jazz Cafe, Camden
Ellie Shines Again @ Q Awards Show
Ellie Goulding took to the stage at London's Jazz Cafe on Friday, October 5th, for a select Q Awards performance.
An intimate crowd of just 350 people were lucky enough to catch the singer, songwriter and BRIT Award winner, up close and personal.
Fans were treated to new tracks from Ellie's second album 'Halcyon', as well as some of her old classics.
The singer kept to her usual quirky style in black shorts, an asymmetric white shirt and a chunky gold and black necklace, completed by her pink, blonde and shaved hair.
Ellie opened with new track 'Don't Say A Word', before running through the rest of her sure-to-be hits from the new LP. Ellie revealed that her favourite song from 'Halcyon' is 'My Blood', but crowds were really left stunned at the beautiful 'Figure 8'. She then burst in to the lead single 'Anything Can Happen', the fans coming to life as they bounced around.
Ellie then had the crowds singing along with her cover of 'Your Song' before closing with her 2010 smash hit 'Starry Eyed'.
It's been two years since Goulding's debut album 'Lights' but it's clear to see that 'Halcyon' has been worth the wait. Ellie has managed to miss the curse of the 'difficult second album' and has another great record on her hands. The album is enough to keep her old fans happy as well as gain some new ones.
Seeing Ellie live is always an amazing experience and her show at the Jazz Cafe was no different.
