Tinie Tempah Video Shoot 'Pass Out' @ 3 Mills Studios

Dropout UK In Attendance As Latest UK Major Label Signing Shoots Video

We got the call from EMI Imprint, Parlaphone/DL Records (Coldplay, Lily Allen, Gorillaz, Blur, Hot Chip), that their recent signing Tinie Tempah was shooting a video for a track they placed on the internet 2 weeks ago that has managed to make it into The Dropout Charts. The song entitled ‘Pass Out’ is an absolute beast of a record, with Tinie showcasing the cocky, playful, superstar-esque side to his personality.

He was first brought to Dropout UK’s attention when he put out a version of the heavily covered track ‘Wifey’ which he managed to put such a powerful signature, it ended up taking him around the country a few times over. It beggars belief that its taken over 2 years since than for this artist to finally put pen to paper on a major label recording contract.

He has his own blog, which has received over 400,000 views in the past 6 months, a permanent fixture at Wireless Festival, over 3 million collective Youtube views, nearly 2 million Myspace views, and collaborations with Chipmunk, Wiley, Tinchy Stryder, Ironik and Jay Sean, whilst standing in for Kanye West, no less, at a recent Radio 1 Maida Vale session with Mr Hudson-. Those 2 years sound like they were most definitely put to good use.

Back to the video at hand- Dropout UK had the pleasure of acting as Head of Photography. The song itself is awesome, although an official release for the track is not yet confirmed it was screaming for some visuals, and they sure did a great job.

The premiere date for the video is yet to be confirmed, but expect- High-end fashion, ‘things being smashed’, appearances from a few urban scene faces, and a little bit more showing off! Well why not?

We’ve had an advance listen to his debut LP Disc-Overy (which will be in stores in the 1st quarter of next year) and can definitely say that Tinie Tempah is going to be huge. With the right push from his label (who are usually great with breakthrough British artists) the boy will fly! You guys will be entertained…

‘twas a great shoot.
