LIVE: Red Bull Music Academy: Revolutions In Sound @ EDF London Eye
One Night, 30 Gigs And A Silent Disco!?
With so many musical events in and out of London it can be difficult to find one that invites excitement, creativity, whilst not forgetting great music however the Red Bull Music Academy out did themselves with their 'Revolutions In Sound' event taking place last night at the heart of London.
Extracting 30 of the UK's most legendary clubs and inserting them into capsules on the EDF London Eye is a concept worth winning a couple of awards for. 2011's event saw musicians such as; Ms Dynamite, Skream and Benga, Shy FX and Professor Green entertain an audience of 26 whilst last night some of UK's finests artists were up in the skies - Boy Better Know (Eskimo Dance), Katy B (Rinse FM) and Lily Allen (Yo Yo).
For those who weren't lucky enough to experience this amazing capsule moment, the Red Bull team had it all covered as it was streamed live by online mediums - Channel4.com and YouTube plus broadcasted on screens all around the event.
All the excitement of the night didn't stop there as below the EDF London Eye a silent disco took place, another concept that will amaze the masses as each person was given headphones and could tune into either; The 2 Bears, Ashley Beedle and Felix Da Housecat and spinning tracks.
The title 'Revolutions In Sound' speaks volumes as the Red Bull Music Academy have creatively constructed a concept that adapts the way live music is portrayed and heard, overall an amazing night and hopefully this event reoccurs next year.
